About this hotel

This beautifully restored 19th-century cottage dates back to 1850 and was originally home to lime kiln workers in Broadford. Built with local stone, it once sheltered families working just a short walk from the historic pier, where the original lime kiln still stands today.

After decades of abandonment and nearly being lost to demolition, the property was carefully brought back to life in 1993 and transformed into a welcoming bed and breakfast. Today, it blends heritage character with quiet comfort, offering guests a stay rooted in history.

Inside, the cottage still holds much of its original charm, with exposed stone walls and timber beams that reflect its past. Every corner carries a sense of story and place, shaped by generations who lived and worked here.

Guests can enjoy a relaxed stay with homemade breakfast, a cosy reading space, sea views from the front garden, and thoughtful touches like afternoon tea, free Wi-Fi, and in-room comforts. It’s a peaceful escape where history and hospitality meet naturally.
