Barefoot Bungalow is an intimate but luxury 3-bedroom property with a well-trained staff. There are three attendants, a personal butler and a chef to cater to the guest’s every need. The wooden interiors add to the luxe setting. Evenings here are spent around a bonfire and are enlivened by live music featuring a guitarist and vocalist. The restaurant is in a glasshouse, where guests can watch their meals freshly prepared in a live kitchen set-up. A 14,000-square-foot private garden—beautifully maintained and landscaped with ponds—adds a verdant touch. Topping it all off are the gorgeous views of the snow-capped Himalayan range.
Guests at Barefoot Bungalow get to taste the homestay’s natural, homemade and lip-smacking range of pickles, chutneys and spreads made under the property’s brand, Martban ‘Maa ke Haath se’. Food is made from organic ingredients and created by expert chefs trained by reputed hospitality groups.
Aside from the promise of luxury, Barefoot Bungalow also offers plenty of recreational options, including fabulous views of iconic Himalayan peaks like Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Satopanth, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. They can also trek through hills and jungles, visit the Surkanda Devi temple, Tehri Lake (an artificial dam reservoir) and Jabarkhet Nature Reserve, and get a taste of adventure through activities like zip-lining, sky-cycling and off-roading—and birdwatching too.
Barefoot Bungalow has three fully furnished rooms with attached baths, a living area with a natural wood fireplace and a fully equipped modular kitchen. Each room at Barefoot Bungalow has floor-to-ceiling windows with warm lighting, plush textures and a peaceful ambience to give optimum comfort to every guest. All three rooms have elegant furnishings, luxury bedding, and internet access.
